Upper Kootenay River STATUS OF CUTTHROAT TROUT AND THE POTENTIAL EXTENT OF HYBRIDIZATION This project is part of a long-term assessment and restoration effort initiated by private funding. The goals of this portion of the project (PhD) are to determine how much hybridization has occurred, where hybridization has occurred, whether hybridization levels are increasing, decreasing or stable, what factors are controlling the spread of hybridization, and to develop a management plan that prioritizes potential restoration projects. This year we plan to collect the last samples from our long-term monitoring sites in Perry Creek, Michel Creek and Gold Creek.
