Trout Unlimited Canada is a registered Canadian not for profit organization. Our mission is to conserve, protect and restore Canada's freshwater ecosystems and their coldwater resources for current and future generations.  All of the work Trout Unlimited Canada does is directed toward achieving this mission.Our work is guided by science and research and fueled by the unending passion of our volunteers and professional staff. 

Our work includes stream restoration, scientific research and education. We have a small core group of highly trained staff and a network of volunteers across Canada operating through Trout Unlimited Canada volunteer chapters, from PEI to Vancouver Island.

What can you do to help?

Support the work of Trout Unlimited Canada financially. As is the case for most non-profit organisations, obtaining sufficient funding is challenging. Trout Unlimited Canada receives great support from our members and partners across the country but there is always more work that could be done each year with your help. Consider making a tax-deductible donation to the organisation. Renew your membership or even consider becoming a life member (one of the best deals around!).  To make an ever-lasting difference,consider naming Trout Unlimited Canada as a beneficiary under your will.

Form a Trout Unlimited Canada chapter in your community or get involved with your existing chapter.  Take a leadership role. Volunteer. Come out and help with habitat work or with a fundraising event. Solid local chapters make Trout Unlimited Canada effective and different from other environmental organisations.  

Get informed. Learn more about the issues that affect the watershed you live on so you can be an effective ambassador for Trout Unlimited Canada and the work we do. We rely on our well-informed volunteers to be our eyes and ears across the country, alerting us to important issues as they arise.

The need for the work that Trout Unlimited Canada is capable of has never been greater. Public awareness of the importance of cold clean water - of the importance of properly looking after our watersheds - has never been higher. Our strong and growing membership base organised around effective local chapters, our sound financial management and our science based program delivery will permit Trout Unlimited Canada to have an ever-increasing impact on freshwater resources as we move into the future.
