Meet Takoda, TUC’s Mascot! Meet Takoda a Sioux word that means friend, TUC’s Mascot!. Takoda has many friends at Trout Unlimited Canada (TUC). Takoda joined Trout Unlimited Canada after TUC volunteers saved his creek from ruin. They not only saved Takoda’s life, but the lives of his many friends and neighbours as well. Takoda, true to his name, was so grateful that he decided to join TUC’s volunteers in their efforts to conserve, protect and restore Canada’s rivers and streams.
